The Gyroboard is an excellent tool to enhance results in functional training, core stability and it considerably improves muscles kinesthetic perception. Exercising on it also prevents ankle and knees related injuries as it strengthen the muscles and ligaments around the joints. I have found the board very effective in balance and stability training and its unique features allow to challenge the neuromuscular system in all three planes of the body movement. I use the Gyroboard for all fitness levels, from performing basic simple exercises to train demanding movement patterns in sports conditioning, and to this extent I have found the board to be very versatile.

Manuel Behr, Sport Scientist (Dipl. Univ.), PROMOVEO Centre for Training and Therapy in Bad Endorf (DE)

The “Health & Fitness” version enriches training due to its diversity: Core strengthen-ing and a stimulation of the vestibular system simultaneously, stabilization training of lower limbs and torso, exercises in the correct axial position, application in fall and injury prevention. Due to the different adjustable levels of difficulty (fixed, limited, braked and opened) you can increase the aspiration level from “easy” to “difficult”. Thanks to the four solid aluminum legs and the non-slip grip tape you can perform jumps and also use additional training tools. Therefore the board offers a wide field of application. It can be used in sports which challenge your balance e.g. board sports and skiing but also in complex stop-and-go sports. The application in sport therapy is demanding an appropriate selection of exercises.

The Gyroboard can be used in the medical rehabilitation training in multiple ways. We were able to include the Gyroboard very well into the treatment plan of the leading German decathletes and also cruciate ligament patients who were at an advanced stage of recovery. As a training tool the Gyroboard can be perfectly capitalized in injury prophylaxis, especially in sports where complete movements are needed such as skiing, snowboarding, surfing, tennis as well as team sports such as football, handball, basketball and hockey. The Gyroboard is ideal not only for a balance and stability training but the board’s multidimensional unstable flat deck is also versatile for complex stimulation of spine stabilizing muscles especially in combination with therapy tools as stability ball, sling trainer or flexi bar. Thereby a combination of different aggressive stimulus can be generated to control a reactive strength training of the abdominal and back muscles. With a cautious and controlled dosage and exercise configuration the Gyroboard could also be used as a training tool for elderly and hampered people for the purpose of fall prevention.

Balance and proprioception are essential elements of elite rugby performance. The Gyroboard offers us a fun way to challenge these elements as part of our regular training.

Tom Willmott, Head Coach, NZ Snowboard Team

We are stoked to have a gyroboard in our gym - it is the most specific piece of dryland training equipment we have, and is used all the time for balance and agility work and rehabilitation.

Paula Mitchell, Coach, NZ Snowboard Team

I like the close simulation of being on a snowboard that the gyroboard offers. I enjoy using it as part of my off-snow training programme.

Stephen Bachop, Former Representative, All Black and Manu Samoa

Great full body fun workout, that will test and improve balance, co-ordination and core stability.

Steve Jackson, Sport Science Coordinator, Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel Netball Team

Balance and proprioception are crucial aspects of a netballer’s game, The Gyroboard has been of enormous value in developing that in our elite players. Similarly, player's rehabilitation following lower limb injury and surgery has been greatly enhanced as has the team’s core strength.

Jenny Ferguson, Southern Steel Physiotherapist, Windsor St Physiotherapy

The Gyroboard has been an exciting new tool for us as part of the Southern Steel Netball team. The girls can practice jumping, hopping and landing on the board while receiving Netball passes and maintaining balance. This makes ankle and proprioception rehabilitation at the elite level of Netball so much more challenging, Netball specific, fun, new and exciting for both the therapist and the athlete.
